For the first time in his life, 15 year-old Brigadoon has a lot to be thankful for. Early in 2020, his elderly owner was hospitalized and family members contacted us for help. Noticing red flags in their text, a BAA rescuer rushed over to find Briggy emaciated and chained to the radiator–how we learned he’d spent most of his life.
He was starving, dehydrated, and could hardly walk. After months of physical and emotional recovery, including hospitalization for an unexpected heart condition, Briggy is living a life he’d long given up hope for.
He soon found his forever home, and his parents are doing everything they can to help him forget the past and enjoy his golden years. Now, Briggy spends his days chasing lasers and toys, cuddling with his humans, and practicing his meow after years of silence.
