Brooklyn Animal Action is a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress. Working with our communities, we facilitate Trap-Neuter-Release programs, find homes for adoptable animals, perform community outreach and education, and advocate for animal welfare. Since 2010, BAA has found homes for over 1,000 cats (and a few dogs) and TNR'd hundreds more. We believe in working together to create a better life for New York's animals.Help us find a home for these animals with urgent needs:

Meet Guy Caesar, a friendly long-haired male cat who was rescued off the streets of Midwood in the dead of winter, on one of the coldest days of the year! Guy Caesar was super lucky to be spotted and rescued by our wonderful volunteers who took him in out of the cold.
Now Guy Caesar is looking to meet that special someone to be his new Forever Friend and give him a warm, loving, and stable new Forever Home. Guy Caesar is super sweet and loves people. He purrs like crazy when picked up and really seems to appreciate his luck at being rescued. He is waiting to meet you!

It must have been the ‘luck of the Irish’ that guided Erin into the caring hands of Brooklyn Animal Action so close to St. Patrick’s Day! Until recently, this beautiful brown calico was being sheltered outdoors and cared for by a loving elderly woman who unfortunately passed away.
Now Erin needs someone like you to show her what it’s like to have a warm and cozy inside-home surrounded by love (and maybe a few mouse toys)! This affectionate love-dove is a big fan of being petted and scratched. Check out her listing and be sure to watch her video! She is waiting to meet you!

Jack is a sweet, gentle cat with beautiful eyes. He is currently in a foster home with a toddler; he’s good with children, loves to be petted and cuddled, and is a loving, happy, mellow fellow.
Poor Jack – like so many fantastic cats, he was abandoned by his family when they moved.
Fortunately, one of the tenants in his building turned to Brooklyn Animal Action, and we found Jack a foster home. Now he’s full of hope again. He’d love to be adopted so his story can have a happy ending! He’s the nicest boy, and even though he’s an older cat, he’s still full of life! He really deserves to find his forever home. Would you like to meet this beautiful boy?
