Brooklyn Animal Action is a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress. Working with our communities, we facilitate Trap-Neuter-Release programs, find homes for adoptable animals, perform community outreach and education, and advocate for animal welfare. Since 2010, BAA has found homes for over 1,000 cats (and a few dogs) and TNR'd hundreds more. We believe in working together to create a better life for New York's animals.Help us find a home for these cats with urgent needs:
Male / Marble Cake Coat Tabby / Adult br>
Hi I’m Teddy, a friendly boy who used to live on the streets. I think I’m about 3 years old. I am in good health but I did test positive for FIV which means that I shouldn’t go outside or be around cats without FIV. Also I need a healthy diet (just like all cats). I really enjoy being indoors now and getting a good scratch! Would you be willing to foster me and adopt me if it works out between us? I hope there is a special person out there for me, because I really want to be someone’s teddy bear!
Female / Calico / Kitten br>
Hi, we are Ruby and Jewel, two young calico girls looking for a forever home. We were left at a rescuer’s door, and we were fortunate to be taken in! Now we love to play and purr with our foster who calls us perfect kittens! If you like we can start out as foster and move to adoption if everything works out well. We would love to meet you!
Female / Brown Tabby / Young br>
Hi, my name is Henrietta, and I might just be the sweetest cat you ever meet! But in order to get to know me you’ll need to give me a bit of time to open up. Then we can be best friends! I really need a new foster or adopter. Would you be willing to give me a chance to get to know you? P.S. I love to watch TV.
